You Did Something Impossible This Week and Forgot

That is exactly why you missed it. We only count the things we had to work at.

So let me ask it a different way, and this is a good one to ask out loud at a table with other people.

What do you do that other people find difficult?

Not what are you proud of. Not what did you get a certificate for. The thing you do without thinking about it, that other people watch you do and quietly wonder how.

Maybe you are the one everybody tells things to. Maybe you can make anybody laugh, including people who did not want to. Maybe you can look at a mess and see how it should be arranged. Maybe you notice the person standing on their own.

You did one of those this week. Probably more than once. And you did not write it down anywhere, because to you it was just Tuesday.

It was not just Tuesday. That was equipment, running.

You have been carrying something powerful and calling it a habit. It has been switched on the whole time.
