Your Power Might Be a Quiet One

Something big. Something everybody in the room would turn around and look at.

Some powers are like that. Not most of them.

Here are some real ones. Knowing what somebody means when they say the opposite. Making a nervous person relaxed just by sitting near them. Being able to tell that two people are about to argue before either of them has raised their voice. Making something with your hands that other people cannot stop looking at.

Not one of those makes a sound. Every one of them is real.

I work with music, so I will tell you the thing music taught me. The note that changes a room is almost never the loudest one. It is the one that is true. A true note played softly will do something that shouting cannot do at all.

So if you went looking for your power and found nothing, I do not think you have nothing. I think you were listening for a bang.

You were not skipped. You may just be tuned to a quieter frequency, and quiet is still a signal.
